Bloomquist Conquers Silver Anniversary of the Pittsburgher 100 in NDRL Action
Imperial, Pennsylvania (October 12, 2013) Scott Bloomquist may have not had the season that he’s wanted in 2013, but it definitely took a turn for the best on Saturday night as he outdueled a talented field of National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Super Late Models to win the $25,000 check in the 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pennsylvania).

Scott Bloomquist overtook fellow front row starter, Billy Moyer on lap 12, and once out front never looked back on his way to a convincing win in the 100 lap feature.  The victory was his fourth triumph of his career in the mega-event.

In victory lane a jubilant Bloomquist climbed atop his #0 Roush Yates powered Bloomquist Race Car in front of a massive approving crowd at the historic, half-mile oval with the checkered flag hoisted high in the air.

After catching his breath and climbing back to the ground the Mooresburg, Tennessee driver addressed the raucous crowd.

“We’ve been doing a lot of testing this year, and some things have worked and others haven’t.  Tonight it did,” Bloomquist commented.  “The car would just go wherever I needed it to be, and I felt really comfortable out there tonight.” READ MORE HERE - PHOTOS

Jason Feger Dominates NDRL Field in 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100 Opener

Imperial, Pennsylvania (October 11, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) sanctioned the opening night of the silver anniversary of the Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pennsylvania) with a $10,000-to-win event, and it was Bloomington Illinois’ driver, Jason Feger, who wired the field in dominant fashion to claim his first career win with the series.

Feger, who started from the pole position in the 50 lap feature grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and endured a trio of caution flags to claim the victory by more than two seconds over his foes.

“I wasn’t really happy with the car in practice last night, and earlier tonight it wasn’t much better, but my guys made some changes before the feature that made it just awesome,” an elated Feger said in victory lane.  “It’s been a really tough past few weeks for us, but tonight was awesome.  I really think we’ve figured something out.”

Feger’s night started with a lucky break when he was awarded the win in his heat race after initial winner, Alex Ferree, was disqualified due to an illegal deck height in post-race inspection.  In the redraw for the feature he received the pole starting spot for the finale with Gregg Satterlee joining him on the front row.

Who Will It Be? NDRL Champion to Be Crowned ‘King of Dirt’ at ‘Pittsburgher 100’

Pittsburgh, PA (October 9, 2013) The inaugural season for the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) and the ‘Let’s Get Dirty’ Tour will come to a close this upcoming weekend, October 10-11-12 after the 25th Annual ‘Pittsburgher 100’ at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. After the five event mini-series, the question is: Who Will It Be?

Who will be crowned ‘King’ of the ‘Kings of Dirt’ and claim the first ever NDRL championship? The five event mini-series was originally set to kick off during the weekend of March 29 and 30 at Paducah (KY) International Raceway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO. Unfortunately Mother Nature had different plans forcing NDRL officials to move the opening weekend to April 12 and 13.

Shinnston, West Virginia’s ‘Rocket Man’, Josh Richards launched his way into the record books on Friday, April 12 after a dominating win at Paducah International Raceway becoming the first ever NDRL event winner. The following night, April 13 at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, Richards was again in the hunt to claim his second $20,000 win of the weekend but after leading early in the event, suffered a flat tire ending his chances at a weekend sweep. Muscataine, Iowa’s Brian Birkhofer was eventually named the winner but it was Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, Wisconsin, with finishes of third and second, who led the championship point standings at the end of the inaugural weekend. Billy Moyer Masters Roaring Knob for $20,000 NDRL Triumph!
Markleysburg, Pennsylvania (September 2, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) held their third event of their inaugural season on Monday evening with a trip to the picturesque Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex, and it was Billy Moyer who scored the victory in the nail-biting, $20,000-to-win affair.

Steve Shaver and Dennis Erb Jr. brought the field to the green flag for the 75 lap finale, and Shaver gunned to the lead at the drop of the green flag with fellow front row starter, Dennis Erb Jr. in tow.  While the lead duo motored away from the pack Davey Johnson, Tim Scenic, and Gregg Satterlee rounded out the top five.

The running order at the front of the pack remained the same until lap 10, when Scenic slowed from the 4th position with mechanical issues to draw the caution.  The ensuing restart saw Shaver again pull away from the field, while Davey Johnson and Gregg Satterlee went to work in a three wide battle for the 2nd spot.  The battle would be halted two laps later on lap 12, when a brief heavy rain shower drenched the oval.

After a twenty minute delay action resumed with Shaver at the point, and over the next several laps the event saw several restarts for flat tires.  While Shaver remained constant out front the top five shuffled from lap to lap behind him as Satterlee, Johnson, Josh Richards, and Cody Hardesty waged war.
